The training center was created in February 2017, with a view to accompanying the effort of the state for the absorption of unemployment in the southern wilayas by the integration of young job seekers through training and learning.
The center provides training and apprenticeship for both the staff of the company SOD and external trainees including those recommended by the ANEM.
The educational capacity is 400 trainees including 72 trainees in boarding (Accommodation and catering at the expense of the training center).
The center is equipped, in addition to classrooms and workshops;
- Large conference room,
- Home,
- Infirmary,
- Refectory with kitchen.
- Dormitories for the interns.
Also, the Star of Desert training center trains for production jobs in the industry and energy sector
